In his own inimitable way, director and designer Jaap Drupsteen has visualised the impressive score of Luciano Berio's Sinfonia (1968) for television. Concentrating on the score, on his ears and on the images evoked by the music, he has made a colourful and lively analysis of the music. The interaction between the musicians, certain turns and accents in the music and the mood surrounding it are expressed in a visual collage that is no less layered and complex than the music of Berio.
