The recent work of film-maker Zoe Beloff is characterised by the desire to crawl under the skin of everyday life and ‘dream’ her way back to the past, not only by making films and collecting home movies, but also in the use of half-forgotten techniques such as stereo slides and 8mm film. Beloff discovered similarities between nineteenth-century and present-day techniques. She presents her interactive film on CD-ROM, Beyond. (See Beyond and Lost).
