Two short films will also be screened by the Home Movie Master Oki: Rokugatsu no kuchibiru / The Lips of June (1993) and Irome / Colour Eyes (1992). On the first film, Oki himself wrote: ‘The Lips of June is the film which walks through landscape of June when boys want lips, lips, lips and finally lips of sky.’ Oki makes short 8mm films with great regularity. They provide a good picture of the home-movie side of his film-making.
