For five days in December 1989, during the overthrow of Romania’s Ceausescu government, demonstrators took over the state television studio and broadcast their revolution on live television. Film makers Harun Farocki and Andrej Ujica condensed 125 hours of video transmissions into this chronological reconstruction and image of a revolution. The message is evident: to gain political power, you need to control television.
