Short and very powerful text-based film comprising graphic images of brief statements which flash past rhythmically in a convincing plea for the AIDS issue to be politicised. The rise of AIDS has caused a return of restrictive norms as well as hysteria in the media. SID A IDS condemns the misuse of the disease to criminalise groups of people. The film opposes the stigmatisation of risk groups by dissecting and enlarging the language which accompanies it. Beauvais confronts vague and accusatory opining with an almost tart clarity. The title of the film is a contraction of the French and the English acronyms for the disease.
