The title, 'The Temptation of the Owl', should be taken pretty literally. In an inventive and humorous way, Saparelli uses distortion techniques in the video medium to make a dream world look realistic. A floor in a room in this video world can change into a water surface which continues to support the protagonists until they decide to take a dip.In a certain sense, the video comprises two parts. The first section is set in an interior and has a very symbolic character. The second part encompasses a journey at speed, seen from a car which eventually, and fairly suddenly, emerges into the symbolic surroundings of the first part. Saparelli calls his video a symbolic tale about death as an unexpected and chance event.
