This Dutch debut made on a small budget was shot entirely in the studios of Lenfilm (St. Petersburg). Fiction is mixed with animation (partly devised by Vera Taranova), which represents the romantic imagination of the central figure, Simeonov. He is a 35-year-old bachelor who only sees his girlfriend Tamara very occasionally. Their relationship doesn't mean very much. Simeonov's reality is without much passion. In his imagination however he leads a much more exciting existence, especially thanks to an old record by the singer Vera Vasilevna with the song 'No, you're not the one I love passionately'. Then Simeonov hears that Vera is still alive and he decides to look her up.
