Art Directions accreditation

This year, we’re launching our new IFFR Art Directions accreditation, designed for artists, filmmakers, producers, curators and industry professionals working at the intersection of visual arts, immersive media, and cinema. 

In addition to all the benefits of IFFR Pro accreditation, this new badge offers priority access to IFFR’s Art Directions programme and a tailored programme of networking opportunities and special events for professionals in the field.

About Art Directions

Art Directions is IFFR’s transformative programme that presents cinema beyond the traditional screening room – through immersive media, performances, installations and exhibitions. Originally named Exploding Cinema, the programme celebrates its 30th anniversary in 2026.

In recent years, the programme has showcased the likes of Steve McQueen (Sunshine State, 2022) and Jessica Sarah Rinland (Extramission: The Capture of Glowing Eyes, 2025, co-commissioned with Tabakalera), VR world premieres like Lacuna by Maartje Wegdam and Nienke Huitenga Broeren (Cannes Immersive Competition 2025) and the avant-garde kinetic performance The End by Argentine-Japanese artist duo Lolo & Sosaku (Sónar Festival 2023).

    • 20 festival tickets for the full IFFR 2026 film programme (excluding certain special events), also including:
      • Art Directions programme at Katoenhuis and across Rotterdam, with priority immersive media booking for the full festival period and unlimited access to Katoenhuis exhibitions
      • IFFR Big Talks and Tiger Talks with renowned guests
      • Press & industry screenings
    • Specially tailored Art Directions expert sessions and industry networking events 
    • All the IFFR Pro accreditation benefits, including:
      • Pro Hub dedicated film industry programme, including Pro Dialogues panels, roundtable discussions, expert sessions and tailored mentoring (on request) during the IFFR Pro Days 
      • IFFR Pro industry networking events including the Pro Hub welcome drinks and daily IFFR Pro receptions
      • Invitations to IFFR Filmmakers Party, IFFR Pro Industry Party and IFFR Pro and IFFR 2026 Tiger Awards ceremonies
      • Online video library (geoblocked to Rotterdam)
      • IFFR Pro Connect contact directory to arrange your meeting schedule
      • Daily festival industry newsletter with information and agenda highlights

    Early Tiger: €190

    • Deadline for registration and payment: 26 November 2025, 23.59 CET

    Regular fee: €210

    • Deadline for registration and payment: 7 January 2026, 23.59 CET

    Late fee: €250
