IFFR x OASE x Dispositif – International Worker Day

On April 30, we invite you for this new edition of New Narratives, together with Dispositif and OASE. At the centre is In This Together by Lisette Olsthoorn, a documentary that revisits real conversations between Uber drivers and the company during protests in Amsterdam, brought back to life through a collective re-enactment. Will you be joining us?

About In This Together

For the freelance drivers who took the initial opportunity offered by the international company Uber, the prospects of self-management and grand earnings were irresistible. Changes in Uber procedures, however, left the drivers frustrated and struggling. This innovative documentary probes the case of drivers in the Netherlands.

About collaboration

In collaboration with IFFR,  Dispositif and OASE are organizing an evening of cinema, music, food and conversation. This edition takes place in the context of International Worker Day. Worker Day began with global labour movements demanding fair hours, fair pay and dignity at work. In the Netherlands, it often passes quietly, but that’s exactly why it deserves more attention.

About OASE

OASE is a cultural venue, café and lab for a fair, sustainable city. Here, big issues turn into small steps. Playful, tangible and within your reach. Collaboration and connection are crucial to OASE. A number of ecosystem-builders have a permanent home at OASE and are there every day.
