On December 10th Buddy Film Foundation and IFFR will present the premiere screening of ‘On her shoulders’ at Fenix museum. Make sure to reserve your free ticket and join us for the event.

About the documentary

The film follows Elif and her granddaughter Oriana, as well as Mina and Chahira, highlighting the experiences of these generations of women. In the 1960s and 1970s, they played an important role in the city, often unnoticed. The documentary shows how these women tell their stories and how they have shaped the city.

Practical information

The documentary is in Dutch.

Before the premiere, join us for a Turkish dinner (6 PM – 7 PM), prepared by Aysel Kaya and Elvan Ünlü, two Rotterdam-based creators with Turkish roots, who combine their love for food, photography, and storytelling.

Tickets are free (reservation is required)
