Dakendagen x IFFR: Repo Man

Enjoy a film night under the stars on the roof of the Mobypark Delftsestraat parking garage. On Friday 5 June, in collaboration with Rotterdamse Dakendagen, we’re screening the classic absurd science fiction comedy Repo Man (1984), preceded by Rotterdam filmmaker Chris de Krijger’s Gedoetjes (2026).

About Repo Man

by Alex Cox (United States, 1984, 92 min.)

While nihilistic punk Otto is being trained as a ‘repo man’ (repossessing cars) in Los Angeles, he gets hold of a stunning Chevrolet Malibu ’64 – with supernatural powers. Ultimate cult film gives an incisive criticism of the Reagan era, with an unparalleled punk soundtrack and superb performances from Emilio Estevez and Harry Dean Stanton.

About Gedoetjes

by Chris de Krijger (Netherlands, 2026, 10 min.)

A collection of absurd and comical scenes celebrates the bumbling Homo sapiens in all its splendour – and ridiculousness.

Repo Man is spoken in English (no subtitles). Gedoetjes is spoken in Dutch with English subtitles.

This programme takes place outdoors and is not covered. It will proceed in the rain; you are welcome to bring an umbrella or raincoat. The screening will only be cancelled in the event of dangerous weather, in which case all ticket holders will be notified via email.
