About the films

Papa, ik ben (Sam Nieuwenhuis, 2025)
28-year-old musician Ilias, better known by his stage name Vlins, has just become a father. The birth of his daughter places his position as a son, and his complicated relationship with his own father, in a new perspective. Initially fatherhood is a hard  balancing act between his work and private life, but in the end, Ilias manages to draw inspiration from his newfound role.

‘t Eethuisje van Delfshaven (Anna Roza Hess, Sam Brinkman, 2025)
At ‘t Eethuisje van Delfshaven, connoisseurs have been eating the classics of Dutch cuisine for almost 27 years. Martin and Bea are of the ‘actions speak louder than words’ variety, but there is a physical expiry date on their work ethic. For regular customers, ‘t Eethuisje serves as a second living room, and a new generation is queuing up: tourists from all over the world are eager to try the famousprakkie. Understandably, because this Rotterdam cuisine leaves you wanting more!

écht? (Jonathan Sipkema, Jonathan Bergsma, 2024)
Leeuwarden based musician Johnny Loves Me (Jonathan Bergsma) stars in this confessional cine-memoir, which he co-wrote and directed with Jonathan Sipkema. Taking cues off of his intimate and melancholic brand of rap music, this trippy film plunges the musician into his conflicted emotional state, using dreamlike imagery to explore his deepest insecurities. Will Johnny Loves Me resort to delusional escapism or does he finally learn how to confront his own demons?
