Out on probation, 24-year old Keith is forced to move in with his dad in Baltimore, where he contemplates his uncertain future and the people he has let down. Keith wants to show he is a changed man and tries to get legal jobs everywhere, but the gang members from his dubious past won’t let him go just like that. His fiery temper also proves hard to control.

This unpretentious, social-realist drama follows Keith’s many attempts to make something of his adult life. In his car, he crisscrosses the former working class neighbourhoods of his city meeting family, people from the hood, friends and enemies. Chameleonic in his interactions, he can be ‘street’ or well-spoken as required. It proves hard to do the right thing amidst the unemployment, poverty, segregation and drug abuse.
