Xacio Baño
Xacio BAÑO (Spain) is a filmmaker who writes, produces and directs fiction and documentary films. He first gained international recognition with his short films Anacos (2012), Ser e Voltar (2014), Eco (2015) and Augas Abisais (2020), which screened at major festivals including Locarno, San Sebastián, Viennale, New Directors/New Films (MoMA), Clermont-Ferrand, Telluride, Mar del Plata, Slamdance, Aspen Shortfest and Sevilla. His debut feature film, Trote, premiered at the Locarno Film Festival in 2018. Continuing his exploration of memory, landscape and identity, his second feature Después de las ciudades has its world premiere at IFFR 2026.
