Vahid Alvandifar
Vahid ALVANDIFAR (1979, Iran) is a filmmaker and cinematographer from Hamedan. He has directed numerous short films and documentaries, often engaging social themes and everyday resilience in contemporary Iran. Over the course of his career, Alvandifar has made eight short films and more than 15 documentaries, including Out of Work (1998) and Copper Branches (2005). His documentary features include Ahoura Darou (2015) and Voyage of Dreams (2016). Conversations with the Wall (2017) marked his first independent feature-length documentary. His short film Cover (2019) screened at festivals such as Vancouver and Cannes. His latest film, Snake Milkers and the Miserable Lady (2026), has its world premiere at IFFR 2026.
