Timothée Engasser

Timothée ENGASSER is a filmmaker. He graduated in urban sociology with a research-creation thesis. He then pursued his research themes in his cinematographic creations at Le Fresnoy – Studio National des Arts Contemporains. On the edge of reality, between documentary and experimental. He directed Tenace in 2022, then in 2024 he released his second short film, Omens bloom in the Dark, which premiered in international competition at the Internationale Kurzfilmtage Winterthur and screened at the FRAC Grand Large Regional Museum of Contemporary Art. Timothée strives to reveal what is invisible in spaces and to dig into imaginaries among the worlds of traces, ruins and breaches.
