Shubhradeep Chakravorty

Documentary filmmaker and freelance journalist Shubhradeep CHAKRAVORTY (1972, India) studied political science and international relations before directing his first film Godhra Tak: The Terror Trail, in 2002, based on the train crash in Godhra. Encountered on Saffron Agenda? (2009), selected for IFFR 2023, is an exploration of the Gujarat extrajudicial killings by police following the 2002 riots. He also directed Out of Court Settlement (2012) and After the Storm (2013) before his death in 2014.
