Sérgio da Costa

Sérgio DA COSTA (1984, Switzerland) holds a Cinema degree from the Haute École d’art et de design (HEAD) in Geneva. He directed two short films, Interview with Almiro Vilar da Costa (2009) and Snack-bar Aquário (2010), before starting to work with Maya Kosa. In 2010 he directed the short film The Engineer and the Prosthetist with her. In 2015 they made their first feature-length documentary Rio Corgo. Their second feature-length documentary L’île aux oiseaux premiered at Locarno 2019.
