Rodrigo Areias

Rodrigo AREIAS (1978, Portugal) is a director, producer and screenwriter with a degree in Sound and Image from the School of Arts of the Portuguese Catholic University. Throughout his career he has made music videos and fiction and documentary works. His directorial debut Tebas (2007) and short Corrente (2008) were presented at international film festivals, winning several awards. In 2012, he was in charge of curating the provision of films for Gumarães 2012 European Capital of Culture among which were works by Jean-Luc Godard, Aki Kaurismaki and Peter Greenaway.
