Pat Janeiro

Pat JANEIRO is an artist and filmmaker based in Rotterdam. They grew up in Lisbon in the 80s and have a sociology and fine arts studies background. Janeiro is an active member of WORM Filmwerkplaats collective, the only artist-run film lab in the Netherlands. Janeiro works within a methodology of shared agency with a place, time and people. Their works are open to improvisation, reciprocity and interdependency. Recent projects include 16mm film projection installations and performances. Their work has been shown at DFBRL8R art gallery, Chicago, SAW-Sofia Art Week, Kinosaurus, Jakarta, Baltic Analog Lab, Riga, IndieLisboa International Film Festival, Lisbon, Oberhausen Film Festival and others.
