Nuno Boaventura Miranda
Nuno MIRANDA is a Cape Verdean filmmaker and editor driven by his dedication to crafting a distinctive visual and narrative identity for Cape Verdean cinema. He initially pursued animation Design at Nanchang University, China, before swiftly becoming a self-taught filmmaker. Delving into editing and cinematography, he co-founded Kriolscope Filmes in Cape Verde in 2015 alongside producer Pedro Soulé. Throughout his journey, Nuno has collaborated with various Cape Verdean directors, lending his skills as a director of photography and editor to films like The New Man (2023) by Yuri Ceunick. Further honing his craft, Nuno gained valuable experience as an assistant and cast assistant on Pedro Costa’s acclaimed film Vitalina Varela (2019). In 2019, Nuno marked his directorial debut with the film Kmêdeus, which premiered at IFFR 2020 and screened at We Are One: A Global Film Festival.
