Mateo Vega
Mateo VEGA (1994) was born in Lima, Peru and moved to Amsterdam at a young age. He was educated at Amsterdam University College, The New School, and Sandberg Instituut. His projects have been supported by the Netherlands Film Fund, Amsterdams Fonds voor de Kunst and Stichting Niemeijer Fonds, and his short films have screened at festivals including IFFR, Glasgow Short Film Festival, 25FPS and Guanajuato International Film Festival. In his work, Vega deals with “the subjective experience of (urban) space, and the politics, histories and futurities embedded in landscapes, architecture, and infrastructure”.
