Martin Smatana
Martin SMATANA (1991) is a graduate of the Department of Animation at FAMU, Prague. During his Bachelor studies he completed an internship at Nukufilm studio in Tallinn, Estonia. For five years he led animation workshops for children. His debut film Rosso Papavero (2015) premiered at Berlinale 2015 Generation Kplus and won 13 international awards. In November 2018 he finished his graduation stop-motion film for children The Kite, officially selected for IFFR 2024.
