Mariah Teixeira
Mariah TEIXEIRA (1985, Brazil) is an award-winning actress and director. She attended Casa das Artes de Laranjeiras in Rio de Janeiro and made her film debut in Cláudio Assis’ Tiger Award-winning Bog of Beasts (2006). For her performance, she won the Candango Trophy for Best Actress at Festival de Brasília. In 2018, she starred in Sol alegria, directed by her father Tavinho Teixeira, which had its world premiere in IFFR’s Bright Future programme. Riff-Raff (2020), co-directed with Nanda Félix, is her directorial debut.
