M. Raihan Halim
M. Raihan HALIM (Singapore) is a director and scriptwriter working in film and television. He began his career in television after receiving recognition at Singapore’s national scriptwriting competitions, and later founded Papahan Films to develop original stories for local television production. He is known for his television dramas and television films including Munah and Hirzi (2012) and Firasat (2014). Halim made his feature film debut with Banting (2014), which received a commercial release in Singapore and Malaysia and screened internationally. His subsequent feature La Luna (2023) expanded his work into regional and international festival contexts, including presentations at major Asian and European film festivals and was IFFR 2024’s closing film.
