Jussi Eerola

Filmmaker and cinematographer Jussi EEROLA (1969, Finland) has worked as a cinematographer on many international award-winning films from prominent Finnish directors since 1992. His directorial debut was in 2009 with Refugees of Technocracy, a documentary about electro-hypersensitive people. Return of the Atom (2015) received the Best Nordic Film prize at CPH:DOX and was co-directed with Mika Taanila. Blue Honda Civic was his directorial short-film debut, which screened at IFFR 2020 among other festivals, and won Best Experimental Film at Prague Short Film Festival. Eerola is a founding member of the Finnish film-production company Elokuvayhtiö Testifilmi Oy, started in 2014 together with Mika Taanila and visual artist duo IC-98 (Patrik Söderlund and Visa Suonpää). Grasshopper (2023) was selected for IFFR 2023.
