Hugo Salvaterra
Hugo SALVATERRA is a French-Angolan writer and filmmaker. He grew up moving between Africa, the USA, Latin America and Europe. He has a degree in Psychology (2007), a Master’s of Fine Arts (NYFA – 2018), and is poised as one of the leading auteurs in a new generation of Angolan Cinema. His debut film, Ear of the Beholder, was released in 2016. His latest film My Semba is selected for IFFR 2026.
