Giovanni Columbu

Giovanni COLUMBU (1949, Italy) was born in Nuoro on the island of Sardinia. He graduated cum laude as an architect and wrote many books about architecture. For several years he was closely involved with cultural projects in the Sardinian Quartu Sant’Elena and curated several exhibitions in Milan and at the Venice Biennale. He was programme director for the RAI in Cagliari before establishing himself in 1999 as an independent film and documentary maker with his production company, Luches Film. His films have screened at international film festivals such as Locarno, Rotterdam, and Torino.
