Felipe Bragança
Felipe BRAGANÇA (1980, Brazil) was born in Rio de Janeiro and studied cinema at the public film school Fluminense Federal University. He had his first professional experience in 2005 as assistant director to Karim Aïnouz. Since then, he has directed four features, one medium-length, five short films and created a multimedia project (including a web series and a graphic novel). His works are all based on Brazilian culture and historical memories, dealing with a new form of magic realism to explore its layers. His works have all been presented at festivals such as Cannes, IFFR, Berlinale, Locarno and Sundance. He has had retrospectives of his work in Paris (Jeu de Paume), Los Angeles (California Institute of the Arts) and Berlin (Arsenal and Wolf Kino).
