Ernst Scheidegger
Acclaimed photographer Ernst SCHEIDEGGER (Switzerland, 1923–2016) was of great importance to the Swiss artistic landscape. His pictures of artists such as Alberto Giacometti brought him international acknowledgement and shaped the artist’s public image. He worked together with Gregory Ratoff and John Huston on moving image projects and created his own short film. Scheidegger is the founder of the Verlag Scheidegger & Spiess. The short film Alberto Giacometti (1966) screens as part of the IFFR 2024 Cinema Regained programme.
