Elina Saloranta
Elina SALORANTA (1968, Finland) is a Helsinki-based artist working primarily with moving image and photography. Her practice examines the relationships between image, language and sound, informed by both artistic research and writing. In her doctoral research, she explored genre, narrative and experimentation in writing, while her postdoctoral work engages in forms of correspondence with the past. Saloranta studied film at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Her work has been presented at international film festivals including the International Short Film Festival Oberhausen, Kassel Dokfest and Helsinki International Film Festival.
