Tianyi Zheng
Tianyi ZHENG (1995, China) is an artist and filmmaker based between Rotterdam and Hong Kong. Working across video, installation and performance, they explore memory, displacement and hauntology through moving images and collective storytelling. Zheng’s practice examines how myths, forgotten objects and ghostly presences shape diasporic identity and queer imagination. Their work has been presented internationally at venues and festivals including Reykjavík International Film Festival, International Short Film Festival Oberhausen, ROZENSTRAAT, TANK Q Shanghai, Simose Art Museum Hiroshima and Art Rotterdam. In 2017, their short documentary The Borderman won the Sino Digital Media Art Award in Hong Kong. Zheng is a co-founder of RACCOONS Studio, an experimental production platform.
