Tabarak Abbas
Tabarak ABBAS is a director of Iraqi origin who grew up in Geneva, Switzerland. When she was younger, she started painting, which led to her real passion, cinema. She graduated in 2023 with a Bachelor’s in Cinema from HEAD-Geneva – Haute École d’Art et de Design. Her first short, Un papillon (2021), was selected for the Schools Competition at the International Kurzfilmtage Winterthur, and Les fantômes du Paradis (2021) was selected at the Geneva International Film Festival. Her graduation film, My Homeland, won the Prix Art et Humanité in 2023.
