Susanne Brandstaetter

Susanne BRANDSTAETTER (US) is an award-winning documentary filmmaker based in Vienna, Austria. After working for the Austrian public broadcaster ORF, she became an independent filmmaker and producer in 2002. Her documentaries often examine power structures and political processes, focusing on the tensions between individuals, institutions and ideology. Her films have premiered and screened at major international festivals, including IDFA, Locarno and the Viennale. Brandstaetter is an alumna of Eurodoc, Documentary Campus Masterschool and the International Screen Institute.
