RP Kahl

Rolf Peter KAHL (1970, Germany) is a German actor, producer and director. He made his directorial debut with Angel Express (1998), which opened the Oldenburg Film Festival. In 2005 he won Hessians’ Young Talent Award for Sunday Girls. Bedways (2010) was premiered at Berlinale 2010 and opened the competition section Perspectives at the Moscow Film Festival. His first English-language film, A Thought of Ecstasy (2017), was in competition at Tallinn Black Nights. His 2021 When Susan Sontag Was Sitting in the Audience won the jury award at the Frankfurt International Film Festival. He also has various acting credits in films such as Deadly Maria (1994) and Venus Talking (2001).
