Rea Wallden

Filmmaker and film theorist Rea WALLDÉN (Greece) studied architecture and holds a Ph.D. in philosophy. As an Assistant Professor at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, her research focusses on film and media theory, avant-garde and experimental cinema, film education and the modernisation of education. Her approach is feminist, semiotic and epistemological. She is the co-writer of Antoinetta Angelidi’s Thief or Reality (2001), Obsessive Hours at the Tops of Reality (2022), selected for IFFR 2024, is an intimate confession about Angelidi’s life and work.
