Rakesh Sharma
Rakesh SHARMA (1964, India) is a documentary filmmaker who graduated in Economics from the University of Delhi in 1984, before studying Mass Communication at Jamia Millia Islamia MCRC. Sharma started his career as a television journalist, before moving into filmmaking. His film Final Solution earned both praise and critique, and was effectively banned in India for several months. It won numerous awards, including the Wolfgang Staudte Award and the Special Jury Award at Berlin International Film Festival in 2004.
