Quentin Papapietro

Quentin PAPAPIETRO (1987, France) grew up in Royan and began directing through the film option at the Lycée Merleau Ponty in Rochefort. After studying in Bordeaux and Toulouse, he graduated from ENSAV’s Master in Film Directing program in 2011. He directed some fifteen short films, the latest of which, Saintonge Giratoire (2023), is produced by Hippocampe Productions. He has also made two feature-length films, Water Music (2014) and En Fumée (2018), which have been shown at festivals such as FIDMarseille and IndieLisboa. In 2019, his films were the subject of a selective presentation at the Cinémathèque Française. From 2015 to 2020, he was a journalist at Cahiers du cinéma. An occasional actor, he is also a musician-performer under the name Lonely Kid Quentin.
