Olivier S. Garcia

Olivier S. GARCIA, a graduate in documentary directing from the Film Academy in 2016, embarked on a compelling journey in the world of filmmaking. Post-graduation, he immersed himself in the Kids & Docs workshop, birthing the youth documentary Skip & the Rhythm Rangers (2018), a standout selection for the IDFA youth competition. Following this success, Olivier crafted the short documentary Torso (2019) as part of Teledoc Campus, premiering at the NFF in Utrecht. Notably, Olivier ventured into the creation of the groundbreaking three-part documentary series for Videoland Gewoon Boef (2020), produced in collaboration with Newbe. This thought-provoking documentary shattered records as the most-streamed documentary on Videoland. Recently, Olivier finished his debut feature-length documentary, delving into the dynamics of masculinity within his own family, focusing on his father and brother. The project is in collaboration with KRO/NCRV, was produced by mint film office and premiered at NFF 2024.
