Nishanth Kalidindi

Nishanth KALIDINDI (India) hails from Pondicherry. As a self-taught filmmaker, Nishanth is known for his outlandish debut feature, Kadaseela Biriyani (2021), which became a cult hit on Netflix. Theatre (2021) is his second feature, a film made in his hometown of Pondicherry. Theatre is an intimate portrait of the people he knows in the Pondicherry theatre scene and their struggles and challenges in their chosen medium.
