Maartje Seyferth

Maartje SEYFERTH (1945, The Netherlands) was trained at the theater schools in Antwerp and Amsterdam. She has worked as a freelance actress and is educated in painting at the Rietveld Academy and directing at the University of the Arts, both in Amsterdam. Since 1984 she has been active as a filmmaker, together with Victor Nieuwenhuijs. In 1986, they founded the production company Moskito Film. The films that Seyferth and Nieuwenhuijs made together are part of the collection of the Amsterdam Film Museum.
