Luiz Fernando Carvalho
Luiz Fernando CARVALHO (1960 Brazil) studied literature and architecture. He has made many prize-winning films and series for Brazilian television. To the Left of the Father (2001) was his first feature film and was selected as one of the most important films in the history of Brazilian cinema. He has been awarded the Concha D’Oro at the San Sebastián International Film Festival. A paixão segundo G.H. (2023) is selected for IFFR 2024.
