Luis De Filippis
Luis DE FILIPPIS is a Canadian-Italian filmmaker based in Toronto, who studied Image Arts: Film at Ryerson University. Her films explore the complexities around familial bonds and the realities of loving as a trans woman. De Filippis is also part of The Trans Film Mentorship, where she helps to highlight the work of other trans filmmakers. Her short film For Nonna Anna screened at IFFR 2018, and won a Special Jury Prize at Sundance Film Festival. Something You Said Last Night (2022), selected for IFFR 2023, is her debut feature.
