Leticia Tonos Paniagua

Director, producer and screenwriter Leticia TONOS PANIAGUA (Dominican Republic) is an APEC University graduate and holds a Master’s degree in Audiovisual Communications from the International University of Andalucía Spain. She is a pioneer of co-productions in the Dominican Republic and has made co-productions with Spain, France, Puerto Rico and Haiti. Her films La Hija Natural (2011) and Cristo Rey (2013) were internationally recognised. In 2020 she because the first woman to be awarded the Film Medal of Merit. Aire: Just Breathe (2024) is selected for IFFR 2024.
