Rezan Yeşilbaş

Rezan YEŞILBAŞ (1977, Turkey) completed his Bachelor’s in Cinema and TV at Istanbul Marmara University in 2008. He wrote and directed his first short film, Hüküm/The Judgement, part of his Trilogy of Women, in 2008. Hüküm competed and won awards in various international film festivals. His second short film of the trilogy, Sessiz/Bé Deng/Silent (2012), won the Palme d’Or in the 65th Cannes Film Festival in the Short Film Competition. He attended L’Atelier de la Cinéfondation in 2016 with his film project, The Boarding School, which could not be produced due to the conditions in Turkey. In 2018, he shot his first feature film and a documentary project about Kurdish football club Amedspor, both with his own resources, and is currently in post-production.
