Justin Kurzel
London-based filmmaker Justin Kurzel (1974, Australia) studied at the National Institute of Dramatic Art in Sydney in the early 1990s. In 2004, he made his first short film, Blue Tongue. Six years later he directed and wrote his feature debut, the internationally praised and acclaimed Snowtown (2011). Kurzel’s adaptation of William Shakespeare’s Macbeth competed in the Palme d’Or competition in Cannes in 2015. True History of the Kelly Gang premiered at TIFF 2019.
