Judith Westerveld
Judith WESTERVELD (1985, Netherlands) grew up in both the Netherlands and South Africa. She studied Fine Art at the Gerrit Rietveld Academie followed by a master’s degree in Artistic Research at the University of Amsterdam. Westerveld uses the shared colonial history of the Netherlands and South Africa and its influence as a source for her artworks. Previous films such as The Remnant (2017) and A Few Common Phrases (2019) both premiered at IFFR.
