Jamie Man
Jamie MAN is an artist, composer and filmmaker working with opera, live performance and darkroom-based installations. Her practice is concerned with music, perception and the poetic and political dimensions of the transtopian body. Through sound, light, darkness and spatial choreography, her works investigate altered states of listening and seeing. Her projects include the Outrenoir series of installation-performances and large-scale works created with orchestras, ensembles and opera institutions across Europe, Asia and North America. Alongside her compositional work, Man is active internationally as a conductor, premiering works by contemporary composers and leading interdisciplinary productions that merge music, performance and visual art.
