Jaime Puertas Castillo

Filmmaker Jaime PUERTAS CASTILLO (1996, Spain) attended the Escola de cinema i audiovisuals de Catalunya before starting out his film career. His short films El Canto de los Estornios (2016) and Los Páramos (2019) have screened at many film festivals including Festival de cine europeo de Sevilla, Curtocircuíto, D’A, Márgenes, Filmadrid or Tabakalera. In 2020 he moved to Donosti with plants to begin a master’s degree in filmmaking at the Elías Querejeta Zine Eskola. Once there, the opportunity arose to begin working on his feature film debut Historia de Pastores (2024), IFFR 2024 world premiere, which was shot in his hometown Puebla de don Fadrique.
