Jack Delano

Jack DELANO (1914–1997, Ukraine) was a multi-talented photographer for the Works Progress Administration, United Fund and, most notably, the Farm Security Administration. He was a also director and cinematographer, known for Los peloteros (1951), Las manos del hombre (1952) and Pablo Casals en Puerto Rico (1956). In addition, he was a well-known composer working with Puerto Rican folk music, founded a television production firm and worked as an architect, educator, cartoonist and poet. He passed away on 12 August 1997 in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
